Terms & Conditions for Special Interest Group Email List Service

1. By participating in the email list you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of use as set out herein.
2. Obscene, offensive, inflammatory, defamatory or derogatory messages are prohibited.
3. Copyright violation (anything that appears to be copied in whole or large part from other sources) is prohibited.
4. Messages posted on the email lists may not be posted or forwarded to other individuals or lists without permission from the author.
5. Use of this service for advertising or other commercial purposes is not allowed, except by the Australian Lawyers Alliance to promote its products and services. This includes announcements of other organisations' CLE programs.
6. All messages must be signed by the sender, including at the very least, the sender's name and firm name.
7. Off-topic messages, those that clearly do not relate to the subject of the forum, are not to be posted. The Australian Lawyers Alliance has email lists on many topics; please post your message to the appropriate forum to ensure that your message reaches an audience that has indicated an interest in the kind of message you are posting.
8. If your message is particular to one state or territory, please include the relevant state or territory in the subject heading as a courtesy to other users.
9. Even though Australian Lawyers Alliance lists are private and intended only for the use of members, we cannot guarantee confidentiality. Consider your comments to be public and therefore be professional and careful about what you say.
10. Participants in the listserv who breach these terms and conditions are liable to be removed from the listserv, at the discretion of the CEO.
11. Requests to Australian Lawyers Alliance staff for service, assistance, or information regarding email lists should be sent to lists@lawyersalliance.com.au.

NB. If you are offering your commercial services in response to a request posted on a listserv, please only respond to the member that posted the request. Please DO NOT use the "Reply All" function as your message will go to the full list, thereby advertising your services and breaching the terms and conditions of use.
