Sunset reviews of the Civil Liability Regulation 2014 and the Personal Injuries Proceedings Regulation 2014, and review of Notice of Claim forms under the Personal Injuries Proceedings Act 2002

The ALA was invited by Queensland Attorney-General, Minister for Justice and Minister for Integrity the Hon. Deb Frecklington MP to have input to the Department of Justice ('Department') on the:
- sunset review of the Civil Liability Regulation 2014 ('CL Regulation');
- sunset review of the Personal Injuries Proceedings Regulation 2014 ('PIP Regulation'); and
- review of Notice of Claim forms under the Personal Injuries Proceedings Act 2002 (Qld).
Both the CL Regulation and the PIP Regulation expire on 31 August 2025 and will need to be remade before that date.
Our submission addresses the matters raised in the Discussion Papers released by the Department as part of stakeholder consultation for these reviews.
