Inquiry into claims made through the Transport Accident Commission (TAC)

The ALA’s submission to the Inquiry into claims made through the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) recognised the TAC as a critically important statutory compensation scheme, while identifying practical issues affecting claimants, including delay, poor communication, opacity in decision-making, barriers in dispute processes, provider fee gaps, and the interaction between TAC supports and the NDIS.
The ALA has been invited to give evidence before the Victorian Parliament’s Legislative Council Legal and Social Issues Committee at a public hearing on 10 June 2026 for the Inquiry into claims made through the Transport Accident Commission (TAC).
