NSW CTP update seminar

Don’t miss the ALA’s annual NSW CTP seminar presented by Andrew Stone SC. Three years after the introduction of the Motor Accidents Injuries Act 2017 (NSW), Andrew returns to explore how the Act has been operating, and what can be expected for NSW CTP going forward.

The seminar will cover the following:

  • Problems with the minor injury definition with adjustment disorders;
  • The challenges of interstate vehicles;
  • How a major criminal offence can affect statutory benefits entitlements;
  • Why the onus of proof matters in a statutory benefits liability dispute;
  • Recovering exceptional costs in a statutory benefits claim;
  • Lodging a damages claim within 20 months – can you get an insurer to concede the WPI threshold?;
  • Changes to assessing loss of domestic services in a CTR claim; and
  • The introduction of the Personal Injury Commission (PIC).

This is an essential session for NSW lawyers working in CTP and is always a popular event. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this seminar will be offered online and in-person. At registration choose whether you will join your colleagues at the Wesley Conference Centre, or watch the seminar from your home or office. The in-person event will include refreshments and will follow all COVID-19 safety requirements.

This event is strictly limited to 60 people!
