Overview
Anaesthetists often seem to be invisible and, sometimes, the patient may never meet the Consultant Anaesthetist responsible for their care. This raises questions around accountability when adverse anaesthetic events occur during surgery, or as a result of the anaesthetic in the postoperative period. Unless the anaesthetist recognises the harm they caused and documents the incidents truthfully, it is often difficult to determine what really occurred.
This webinar will shed light on discovering the truth about adverse anaesthetic events with insights from a specialist medical practitioner – Dr Brendan Smith.
This webinar will be presented by:
- Chair/Facilitator: Olamide Kowalik, Senior Compensation Lawyer, Revolution Law
- Prof. Brendan Smith, Anaesthetist, Bathurst Private Hospital
