Facing the future is this years theme for the highly anticipated 21st Queensland Conference. Join us at the premier event for Queensland lawyer's, academics and other professionals who are dedicated to protecting and promoting justice, freedom and the rights of the individual.

Over the course of two days our expert presenters will discuss, analyse and give their perspectives on current personal injury legal issues. You will gain access to information that contributes to your professional development.

We have also introduced an Essentials stream, where sessions will cover fundamental legal concepts that can operate as either an introduction or a refresher. Additional streams will cover both national and Queensland-specific issues, including the Redress Scheme, the Financial Services Royal Commission, medical negligence, MVAs and more.

Welcome Reception

This function will be held on Thursday 14 February from 6:15pm at The Star, Poolside. Guests will be provided with canapés and beverages from 6:15-8:15pm.

Take in the beautiful weather Broadbeach has to offer while watching the sunset and mingling with your fellow attendees.

Admission is included with delegate conference registration.
Additional guest tickets can be purchased upon registration.

This event will be held at The Star Event Gallery for pre-dinner drinks with the dinner to follow at The Star Marquee.

Awards

Civil Justice Award

Each year the ALA presents a Queensland Civil Justice Award to a deserving recipient in accordance with the outlined criteria.

The award provides a platform of recognition to an individual who has fought for justice. The award generates significant media attention and provides additional opportunities for the recipient to raise further awareness about the issues for which they have fought, both within the legal fraternity and more broadley.

Terms and Conditions

No penalty will apply for accommodation cancellations prior to 4 January 2019.

The ALA will endeavour to sell the cancelled accommodation to another delegate. If we are unable to, the delegate wishing to cancel accommodation will be subject to 100% of the accommodate rate.

No-shows are subject to 100% of the accommodation rate.

If you require a twin room, please specify during registration and email conferences@lawyersalliance.com.au.

If sharing a room with someone (other than a partner), please state their name under 'share with' option when completing the registration. Please ensure that one of the delegates secure, and pays for the accommodation.

Upon check-in, a credit card will be required and a $100 bond per night will be held on the card. Delegates will settle their own account according to the hotel terms and conditions.
