Ask an Expert - Victoria Telehealth Webinar

Overview

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to many providers of independent medical examinations (IMEs) conducting some or all of their assessments virtually.

Dr David Slattery, Orthopaedic Surgeon ( Azure Medicolegal ) and Associate Professor Abdul Khalid, Psychiatrist (Lex Medicus) will provide an overview of telehealth IMEs to help lawyers and their clients navigate this growing practice.

The session will cover:

  • the differences between a telehealth and a face-to-face IME;
  • what lawyers can expect from a telehealth assessment;
  • how examiners are able to observe physical symptoms and conduct physical assessments virtually; and
  • how lawyers can prepare themselves and their clients for a telehealth assessment.
