The Australian Lawyers Alliance (ALA) Medical Law Conference is our premier annual event for legal professionals from every state and territory assisting injured plaintiffs across a broad range of issues at the intersection of medicine and law. In 2026, we're taking the Medical Law Conference to the Melbourne CBD, and spreading the conference across two days. Join us at the Ritz-Carlton Melbourne from 1:15pm on Thursday 30 July until 3:00pm on Friday 31 July 2026. Curated by our Medical Law Special Interest Group (SIG), this year’s conference provides the opportunity to hear up-to-date, practice-relevant presentations on anaesthesia, cerebral palsy, childbirth, women's pain, delayed diagnosis and more from expert lawyers, medical professionals and academics. Delegates come away from the conference with new and practical knowledge to apply in their case work and achieve best outcomes for clients – plus new connections made with like-minded practitioners attending from across Australia. The conference is designed for solicitors, barristers, academics, medical professionals and legal support staff.
