WA Afternoon Seminar 9.3.15 - How Catastrophic Injury Schemes Work

You might be aware that the RAC and National Disability Services have started a joint public campaign to raise awareness of their respective submissions to the Green Paper which support Option 2.

The original model for the catastrophic scheme proposed in the WA Green paper was the NSW Lifetime Care and Support scheme. The LTCS scheme has been in operation since 2006 and has over 1000 members. Disputes are arising over eligibility and benefits.

Andrew Stone, National ALA President and NSW barrister specialising in motor accident claims will be addressing the potential and pitfalls of the suggested WA scheme in light of the NSW experience.

A must for those wanting to understand how a catastrophic injury scheme will work.

The WA Committee invites you to attend this informative seminar to be convened on the afternoon of Monday 9 March 2015 at Rigby's Tavern, Perth.

We are delighted to be able to offer this seminar free to ALA members and a substantially reduced rate for Non-members, priced at $50 p/hd, inclusive of networking drinks afterwards.

The seminar attracts up to 1 CLE point.
