ALA welcomes Qld Chief Justice appointment

The Australian Lawyers Alliance (ALA) has welcomed the appointment of Justice Catherine Holmes as Queensland’s next Chief Justice.
ALA Queensland President Rod Hodgson said the ALA looked forward to working with the State’s next Chief Justice, and congratulated Justice Holmes on her appointment.
“Justice Holmes is eminently qualified for the position of Queensland Chief Justice, and the ALA welcomes the announcement of her appointment tonight,” Mr Hodgson said.
“Justice Holmes is widely respected and well regarded for her extensive experience across many areas of the profession, including in her current role within the Court of Appeal.
“The ALA welcomes Justice Holmes’ appointment and we look forward to working with her into the future on behalf of our members,” he said.
