Queensland Conference 2022

Overview

Join us at the premier annual event for Queensland lawyers and legal professionals who are dedicated to protecting and promoting justice, freedom, and the rights of the individual.

Over the course of two days, our expert presenters will discuss, analyse and provide their perspectives on a wide range of current personal injury legal issues.

The Conference will include four concurrent streams with sessions covering workers’ compensation, medical negligence, abuse law, public liability, negotiation advocacy, and more.

Conference attendees can earn up to 10 CPD points and are invited to attend networking events including the welcome reception and conference dinner. Attendees will also be treated to a new addition of activities including Top Golf, Rise and Shine walk to Broadbeach and Jellurgal walkabout tour - giving you plenty of time to unwind and interact with other attendees.

COVID- SAFE

You’re our priority

The Australian Lawyers Alliance (ALA) looks forward to welcoming you to face-to-face events around Australia.

The health and wellbeing of our event attendees is of the utmost importance. To ensure this we continue to closely monitor the circumstances and requirements in all states and territories in line with local, state and national authorities.

ALA events operate within all Government COVID-19 guidelines. In November, the Queensland Government announced that from 17 December 2021 unvaccinated people are not permitted to attend hospitality venues. This means that only fully vaccinated people will be able to attend this Conference.

Our events are running as scheduled, and we will respond appropriately and provide further updates should the situation change in the lead up to any event.

Vaccination certificate needs to be attached/linked via the Queensland Check In app. The Star Gold Coast does NOT accept the following as proof of vaccination:

  • Screenshots/photos of “Check In Qld” App and/or covid vaccination documents
  • Shrunken and/or reduced sized documents
  • Doctor/Specialist/Chemist covid vaccination authority letters

Awards

Civil Justice Award

Each year the ALA presents a Queensland Civil Justice Award to a deserving recipient in accordance with the outlined criteria.

The Award provides a platform of recognition to an individual who has fought for justice. The Award generates significant media attention and provides additional opportunities for the recipient to raise further awareness about the issues for which they have fought, both within the legal fraternity and with the wider public.

Forward all nominations for The Civil Justice Award by close of business on Tuesday 21 December 2021 to Events@lawyersalliance.com.au
