Elenore Levi

Legal Research and Policy Officer

Elenore has been with the ALA since August 2020. She works on researching, writing and reviewing content for the ALA’s policy and advocacy work, including submissions and policy papers.

Elenore graduated from the University of Sydney, having completed a bachelor’s degree in International and Global Studies (majoring in Government and International Relations) and a Juris Doctor (postgraduate law degree). During her time at university she was an active student leader, including as National Vice Chairperson of the Australasian Union of Jewish Students.

After university, Elenore undertook a year-long Fellowship at the Hadar Institute in New York, which centred on learning ancient Jewish texts, history and philosophy. She has worked in the not-for-profit space for Shalom and the Executive Council of Australian Jewry, and was an environmental justice campaigner at GetUp.

Elenore is passionate about volunteering in the community, as well as mentoring others. In 2018 she led a group of Australian university students on a US trip as part of a Fellowship that focused on political organising and activism.
